About Mari and Native Moth

I am a life-long explorer, absorber, and performer of artistic expression, a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist, seeking of beauty and balance in a world where all too often self-annunciation is a tricky and arduous task.

In my 36th year of life and my 4th year as a full-time artist, and still every day greets me as a new chance to see the world and myself through the eyes of a creator.

Balancing personal stories with external influences, I seek authenticity while embracing the ever-changing nature of my work. Within communities of fellow West Virginian creators, I find inspiration and motivation among others demonstrating resilience in the face of similar obstacles. At the end of every day, every painting, every piece of me that I create to release into this world, being an artist is a journey of continual growth, self-discovery, and connection.
